Tonight and tomorrow morning the Book of Esther is read. אסתר ES-aTeR means "I will hide. Source of ESOTERIC (hidden). Esther is the first "modern" Biblical book, it takes place in the Diasporah, where God is hidden. There is no mention of a miracle. This is the עולם [O]WLaM (realm), where God is עלם [E]LaM (out of sight). After Eden, then after the Temple in Jerusalem, God is playing hide and seek with us. Will we seek and find God in the uncanny turnabouts in the Esther narrative? In recent history? In factual science? In Edenics? In the Shock + Awe and war and terror that answered Saddam's scuds on Israel? In the future response to Iran's threat? It's not if you win; it's how you play the game.
